Itunes The song could not be used?

When I plugged my IPhone in a window came up and said "Song could not be used would you like to locate it" When I chose yes I couldn't find the song. There's around 25 songs that have the explanation point by it and when I try to play the song the box pops up. I have around 1, 200 songs on my Itunes and nothing else has the explanation point and they all play fine. I bought all my songs through Itunes and have not messed with the files. Is there any way to retrieve the songs without buying them again.

Were the songs bought to begin with or were they songs download off the internet or ripped from CD's? There's a chance the songs were also deleted. To check if they were deleted, go into your recycling bin and look for them there to restore them. That way the file can be searched for and the problem may be solved.

I have had the same problem.

This happens when you original transfer songs to iTunes, but you later move the songs.

Lets say you had songs on your desktop. You dragged them to iTunes, and everything was fine. But later you cleaned your desktop and organized your music elsewhere.

Well since it's in a different folder, iTunes doesn't know where it is. Hence the Ex! CLA! MATION…

So what i recommend for you to do is the click start button, the search.

Search to see if the song is still on your computer.

If it is, then go to iTunes and locate it…
