Jailbreaking/Rooting Voiding protection plan?
I want to Root my phone and my brother wants to jailbreak his iPhone. We were wondering if doing so voids our protection plan. Keep in mind this isn't warranty given to use by apple/samsung, it is the warranty we pay $10 extra out of our phone bill every month.
I don't believe your phone company will care, its just apple that doesn't want you jailbreaking because there are some things you can do that will lose them money. If your phone breaks, your phone company has no way to tell that your iphone has been jailbroken and they will just replace it. If you had an apple warrenty and you took it in to them, they can do tests to see if it is jailbroken. So I wouldn't worry about it
- Where can I look for AppleCare Protection Plan for my iPhone in Malaysia? The warranty of my 5S will end some time around December 2014 and I have the intention to extend the coverage. I'm aware that AppleCare for iPhone is not available in Malaysia but is it possible for me to purchase the plan from Australia and register the ACPP agreement onto my iPhone? It seems to be possible to me but what I'm worried about is, will the Australian ACPP be compatible to my iPhone that was bought in Malaysia?

I bought my iphone off of amazon used and I went into apple to get my sleep button replaced for free but on the receipt it says I have protection plan a2? - What is radioshacks electronic protection plan? Okay I have a 3year RadioShack electronic protection plan. Does that mean it my item stops working, I can take it back and they will give me a new one? Because I have an iPhone 5 charger that I purchased from them on 6/3/13 and it has stopped working properly. Would I be able to take it to the store and get a new one for it?
