Just purchased an iPhone 5 online?

I purchased the iphone 5 for pick-up at the Apple store. I had an upgrade available and it is a birthday gift for my girlfriend. When I go to pick it up, will they open it up on the spot or will they let me keep it sealed in the box?

Please tell me only if you know for sure.

Well all carriers open the box on the spot to set it up and to put your sim card in (depending on what carrier it is)
Verizon and Sprint will open the box
AT&T will to put your sim card in.

  • Just purchased my first iphone? I have had an ipod touch for awhile now, but I'm just curious because everyone always talks about how they shatter their phones, are they that easy to shatter? Like compared to an ipod touch. If that makes any sense, I have never shattered my ipod but I have dropped it many times, is it easier to shatter the iphone or is the glass the same?
