MacBook Pro and iPhone

I recently purchased a macbook pro and I'm having trouble with my photos. My iCloud says I have 1,297 photos which is taking up 3.78 GB but on my phone it says I only have 454 photos (which is correct). Why does it say there are so many more? And how do I transfer the 454 photos on my macbook?

I would need need this info to give you an answer that is perfect…
- Version of OS X. The most options for dealing with photos is for OS X 10.10.3 or later.
- The details for the two blanks here: "I want to copy 454 photos from _____ to _____." (You only said "how do I transfer the 454 photos on my macbook?" You don't transfer on; you copy from this to that.) For the rest of my answer, anyone using OS 10.9.5 or earlier will have iPhoto, not the Photos app and have fewer features.

Without knowing exactly how you want to deal with your various photo making devices (iPhone, a digital camera, etc.), I suggest that you read this article, which is for OS X 10.10.3 or later--> https://support.apple.com/...s/HT204264

  • Will Google+ Photos distinguish photos from my iPhone and my Macbook Pro? I have Google+ backup for both my iPhone and my Macbook Pro (iPhoto) and I was wondering if it would distinguish pictures from the two. Like… "Photos from your iPhone" & "Photos from your Mac" Or, does it just upload them all into one place, and categorize all the photos just by date?
