My iphone 4 went to a black screen and the top button is broken?
I was just texting and it happened, if i let it die and then plug it in will it turn on? I tried leaving it on the charger for hours and plugging it in the computer! It was at full charge when it died! I'm crying and i don't know what to do!
Try to make sure the phone is on. Then let it completely die. If it says black after you plug it in then you are probably screwed and will need to get a new phone or screen. Another thing you can try is wiping it clean and updating to the latest update. Um, I don't think there's a way to take out the battery, but if there's, great! Also if you want to be able to turn off your phone without the top button, go to Settings: General: Accesiblity: Assited touch. That is all I know, but you could try to bring it to your… Phone service (Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-mobile) and ask them if they can remove the battery, then if not you'll have to send it to Apple and they will be hopefully be able to take the battery out… Sorry I don't know more…
