My iphone 4 won't update to iOS 6?
I have the iphone 4 and i still haven't had an update to the ios 6 that came out today. I'm tired of waiting. Is ios 6 not available for the 4 or what!
It is available for the iPhone 4. Just go to Settings > General > Software Update. It worked on my iPhone 4, but I'm not updating until later when it isn't so slow.

Before going ahead, you must ensure that Restrictions are disabled on the device. Otherwise, the device may not be able to transfer the purchases, backup or sync with the computer. In order to do this, go to Settings > General > Restrictions and disable them
Just go to this site (source) and directly download your iPhone version. Go to iTunes, press shift and click update on the summary ribbon, then select the firmware you downloaded.iTunes will take on from there! Easy!

- Update stopped during ios update own iphone now phones broke I connected my iPhone 4 to my computer (iTunes) and started doing the update through iTunes. About five minutes into the update iTunes in my computer stops working, causing the update to of course stop working. Now my phone will not turn on. On the screen it is black with the 'charge symbol' as if it were low on battery and an iTunes symbol. I have tried turning my phone off and on, but of course it didn't respond.

- Is the iOS 6.1 update on iPhone 3 safe to update? On my first iPhone there were problems, and the update didn't help it wiped out everything and among other things had to get a new iPhone. The iPhone I have now works, so should I risk this update? It's a 3GS.
