My iPhone 4s only plays music from the outer speakers?

When I plug in my headphones all the way, music only comes from the outer speaker. It just recently happened and I'm very confused by this.
Is it the headphones or the headphone jack?

This happened to me on my 4s. I shut my phone off, then turned back on… Plugged headphones in before it fully came back on. Went to music and played a song, it worked. Your headphones may be bad or just not liked by your 4s (mine is picky, only likes certain types/brands). Have you tried another set to see if it's just one set that won't work? Or you could go to http://www.apple.com/...e/contact/ fill out the form and either do a chat with them or have them call you.

  • Why is my outer iPhone camera so blurry? I've tried cleaning with my lens stuff(and made sure its not a finger print). I've tries turning hdr on and off. What should I try now? What could it be)
  • VLC player for iPhone 5 only plays sound? So I was download Spongebob season one the other day as I'm in love with the series. Anyway. I figured that it would be easier to download VLC player app for iPhone than converting the.avi files to.mp4 files. As I was going to bed, ready to enjoy some spongebob I realized that the video didn't play, only the sound. So my question is: How do I fix this? I downloaded it as torrents from www.thepiratebay.sx, not from youtube or some other place.
  • Should I buy surround 5.1 or stereo speakers for music only? I want to listen to music and get the best out of it, only by plugging my iPhone and laptop flacs to the speakers. Surrounds seem like I get more for the price, but I don't really plan on watching any 5.1 movies ever. What should I aim for?
  • Only one speaker on my iPhone 4s plays music? I'm new to iPhone's, and I just got this phone 3 days ago. I have never dropped it, but it sounds like only the right speaker on the bottom of the phone plays music. Is this normal? Should I get it checked?
