My iPhone 4S sound isn't working

So I dropped my phone in water but got it right back out so barely any water got in my phone since it also had a case. I was having the same problem but after getting some water out and messing around it worked again. What the problem is, is that headphones work fine, but my speaker isn't working at all. It works with phone calls but not with music. And when I press the volume up and down buttons it won't let me adjust anything and if I go to play music no music bar will show up… I really don't know what to do anymore! I've already done the asisstive touch trick and every time I try to turn my phone of it turns itself right back on! Any help would be appreciated thanks!

You should go to the doctors, maybe you're deaf.

Take it to the genius bar

I recommend take it to a iphone repair shop. The water prob damage the speaker. Next time when you drop any of your electronic devices in water do not turn the device on and put it in rice, cover the whole thing in rice for at least a day or overnight. The rice will suck all the moisture out.

Time to buy an iphone 5. Electronics and water don't mix. If you still have warranty try to see if Apple will repair it for free or a minimal fee.

Take it to the apple shop.i-phones and water don't tend to mix well. Then again i droped my ipod in the tub and it works fine now. Try holding the on and off button and shutting it down then leave it for a while
then do the same thing to turn it back on. Hope it works

Try putting it in a jar of rice for a day or two, this pulls any water out of the phone. Also try going into settings and make sure volume limit isn't at 0, this would mean no sound could come out even if you used the buttons. You could first try a hard reset though, by holding down the power and home button until the iPhone screen goes blank then power it up like normal. Hope this helps!

It seems as if there's a problem with not only the hardware, but there could also be a problem with the software, considering you can't adjust the volume (This could also just be another hardware issue). I would suggest taking it to a licensed repair shop, or, if you can afford it, send it directly to Apple. I would also suggest to maybe background check the business you take it too, because many places will use reproduction parts and that could be damaging to your phone in itself.

Actually iPhone is embanked, the battery is not removable. So the best solution is please go for some good icenter for repair your cell

I have the same problem. The ringer is all the way up and I can hear my incoming calls and texts. I can call people with no problem. But, whenever I try to play music, or a video or something from an app the volume bar does not even come up! When I put headphones in, it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't! BTW I used it in the bath and I have a cracked screen but I did not drop it in the tub.

By the way I don't want to take it to the Genius Bar because that costs like 100 bucks
