My iphone 5 is stuck on the battery and won't charge?

Ok so iPhone was dead then i put it in the charger and waited like 10 minutes and the apple logo came back on thennit got the loading sign and went back to the battery logo then it got the apple logo again after like 10 more minutes and the loading sign again then back to the battery logo now its been at the battery logo for like 4 hours and i don't know what to do

Take them to the apple store or assign an appoint with the genius

Something else you can try if you're not close to an apple store or don't have the time to go there's to try and see if you can put it into DFU mode and reload it. BE AWARE THAT IF YOU DON'T BACKUP TO ICLOUD OR YOUR PC ON A FREQUENT BASIS YOU STAND TO LOSE A LOT OF INFORMATION (CONTACTS, PICTURES, APP DATA, ETC…)! How much and of what type will be determined by when the last time you saved was and what data you have accumulated since that last save. You will also lose your jailbreak software (if you jailbroke your phone), if not then you won't because there's nothing to lose.

To put it into DFU mode plug your phone into the sync cable while the cable is plugged into whatever computer your sync your device with. Open iTunes and then press and hold the power and home buttons at the same time, once it powers on, then powers back off again release the power button while CONTINUING HOLDING THE HOME BUTTON until the apple logo appears again, or more likely it will be a picture of the end of the sync cable and an iTunes icon, the computer will make an error noise and a dialogue box should pop up saying that iTunes has detected an iPhone in reset mode. ITunes should then download the latest version of iOS and install it on your device, you can then resync your information to your device from your last save. There's lots of videos on YouTube on how to do this if my instructions seem unclear.
