My iphone is broken, can I just get an upgrade?
Alright, so about 2 or 3 weeks ago we were at a restaurant and my friend was playing with my iphone and set it down, then got up to go to the bathroom and knocked a coke over and my phone got a little wet. The phone was fine until this week when the top button stopped working. Then the next day the side vibrate switch stopped working and so did one of the volume buttons. Now today the phone turned sort of a glowing grey and it has a white stripe going through it. I've tried plugging it in and pressing the home button but it doesn't switch from that screen. Something tells me this phone is gone----
I called the apple store and it is still under warranty because this phone is about 10 months old. They said I would need to get an appointment to get it repaired, but I want to know if I can get an iPhone 5 instead of just getting another iPhone 4. Is that possible? Please explain.
You know that they would know that you spilled something on it. And usually the warranty doesn't cover the liquid spill on phones. But in case everything is ok am not sure you can upgrade your phone to iphone5 you will have to say that you don't want this phone anymore. Take your money and buy an iphone 5.
- When I upgrade my iPhone, can I upgrade to the same phone? I have the iPhone 4S and my upgrade is soon, but I don't want the iPhone 5. And I have some little cracks and my speakers are weird. So when my upgrade comes can I just get the same phone that I have now?
- When apple replaces a broken iphone, do you get to keep the old broken one? The back camera on my iPhone 4s broke (just stopped working), so I called Apple and I have an appointment set up to replace the old phone with a brand new one. But, I want to know if when they give me the new phone, will they let me keep the old one? The phone still works fine except for the camera. In fact, it's almost perfect. And obviously I want to sell the old one on ebay to make a boat load.
- Just got a replacement Iphone for my broken one: how do i get my music/photos back? My old iphone 4s broke, so i just received my "new" replacement one. After restoring it i retrieved all my old contacts and apps, but my music and photos, with the exception of a few old pictures, have yet to appear. My old iphone, being broken, won't stay powered on for more than a second or so. If my old iphone has a sim card or something, do i take it out and put it in the new one to transfer all my old content?
