My iphone will only let me call 911,what should I do?

I brought a iPhone 4s (verzion) off a friend at work, thinking I could unlock it. When I hit the home button it says " Iphone is disabled. Connect to ITunes". But when I connect to iTunes to restore it, it tells me that I need to enter a Passcode on the device. But the phone only allows me to call emergency calls only… What should I do?

Get your money back from your "friend" at work.

Your friend ripped u off. Or if its a real problem call 911.

Your friend sold you an active phone, maybe stolen. Talk to your friend.

UGH.

If the phone has a clean ESN, you have to take it to a Verizon store (or call Verizon) to activate it on your account (or set up a new account).

The Phone has a Passcode Lock. You can ask your friend to type in the password to Restore the phone to factory setting so you can set up as a new phone. The reason it ask you for a passcode on iTunes is because iTunes won't let you see the phone Info without th password first.

If your friend doesn't know the password you need to do a restore.
1.Hold down the Home and Power button until the screen go black and the apple logo appear.
2. When the Apple logo appear let go of the power button but keep holding the home button until the Connect to iTunes Screen Appear.
3.Restore the Phone through iTunes.

Have your friend enter their code, you need to setup the phone as yours: http://www.justtext.com/messageboards/20140127081812.html

  • What should I do if I called 911? Last night I was with friends and my phone must've turned rebooted. My SIM card is locked so upon starting up the phone will ask for a four digit password you can also choose to dial SOS. Just now I looked at my recent calls and saw that I had called 911 last night without my knowledge. The call was placed around 2:30 and it lasted about 34 seconds. Anything I should do. My cell phone carrier is AT&T and I broke my iPhone so I know use a trac phone with my iPhone SIM card. Any advice!
  • What happens if you accidentally call 911 and hand up? So I was at school and my phone was in my bad and I have the iPhone 11 which I think has an emergency call button which makes it easy to do that by accident. I hear that sound it makes when it makes an emergency call and I tried to stop it as soon as I could I hung up and should not have done that I realized but at the time I didn't know what to do. Like I'm worried now.
  • IPhone 6s Plus, how do you mute a call while on call? (not how to mute ringer)? I have a new iPhone 6s Plus and need to listen in on conference calls without other people on the call hearing me type in the background or the kids, so how do I Mute the sounds on my end so I can listen in without disturbing the others on the call? My current phone keypad on the iPhone 6s Plus only shows 1-9,0 *, and # buttons.
  • How to dispute this 911 misuse fine? I have an iPhone and my 6 year old niece was playing on Siri. I did not notice what she had done until I heard "calling 911". I quickly took the phone and hung up but they still visited my house. Even after I tried to explain what she had done, they still gave me a $300 911 misuse fine. Is there anyway I can dispute this fine? Or do I just have to suck it up and pay?
