My Wi-Fi doesn't work on my iPhone?

I'm trying to connect to my Wi-Fi on my phone so I don't use so mug f my data plan but when I do it won't let me go on anything like it won't load so I have to turn the Wi-Fi off and use my data plan can someone help me?

First you need to get your Wi-Fi router. Next buy some frenches mustard. Squeeze that *** in the air while screaming *** me. This should solve the issue.

Does it have the wi-fi symbol in the top left hand corner by the carrier?
if it does then the problem could be the wi-fi not the phone
also restarting the phone could help that fixes it sometimes (hold the screen lock and home button down it the same time for about ten sec till the apple symbol appears)
