Why do older people belittle the problems of the youth?
Now I'm asking for a realistic approach at this. None of the stereotypes of youth problems such as broken nails, lost iphones, and bad grades. Sometimes youth have issues where they haven't been prepared to handle such issues something as losing a relative, or simply not getting that job opportunity. There are times where some older folk who have more experience can't tolerate a person complaining when he/she has so much more. For example I didn't graduate high school on time, and I was upset but I wasn't making a conversation about my disappointment. This led to some heavy tension between my family and I. They were left in complete confusion as to how I wasn't able to finish something as simple as high school. I won't justify my laziness in school but I still found their reaction disproportionate. It ended with them applying examples of there more difficult youths, and how it should naturally be easier for me. I've experienced this with other adults where they expect the youth to have their perspective and see that there issues are diminutive, and that they should get over it. I've never been one to disparage youth for having a problem, but others do… Why?
