I've had both, and the iPhone 5 is ten times better than the iPhone 4s. The iPhone 5 is the best iPhone I've owned so far. Zero problems and super quick and it has never disappointed me.
Because Apple does what's best for APPLE. Never kid yourself that they're out for YOUR best interests.
We don't work at Apple. My guess is 5C was a slightly better version for the same price, so no reason to have 5 anymore.
- Why was the iPhone 5 discontinued? I was going to go get one as an upgrade from my iPhone 4S but when I went there the only phones on display were the iPhone 4S, iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s. I asked one of the workers & she told me that there are none in stock. I then asked her when they would be back in stock and she replied "Probably never because the iPhone 5 was discontinued by Apple." When I asked her why she said that she doesn't know. Why did they discontinue a great phone?

- Is time lapse only available for the iPhone 5S? Or is it also for the (discontinued) iPhone 5? There are many videos around the web about time lapse in iOS 8, but they only seem to be showcasing the 5S, I want to know if it will be for the 5 too.
