My iphone 5 broke, will apple replace it even though it was discontinued?
My iphone 5 broke, and since apple discontinued the iphone 5 would they give me a different phone or do they still make them for those who need replacements? I have insurance i'm just wondering whether it would be replaced or not.
If you have insurance, then they will replace it. The phone won't be coming from Apple. It will be a refurbished phone from the insurance company. They will require you to send your old broken phone back in. They do that because they will then fix your phone and it will be the replacement for someone else who breaks their iPhone 5. So basically they just keep fixing peoples old phones and sending them to people who break theirs and keep recycling the phones.
They will replace it with a new refurbished one if they can't fix yours.

I'm scheduled for a genius appointment tomorrow and my warranty is out. I don't want to have to spend $300 on getting a replacement. So would they still replace my iPhone or would I have to deal with their pathetic policies?
