Restore iphone without service?
Hi, i locked my phone out coz i forgot my password, i want to restore it, but i think it needs activation later, i just wanna know after the restore do i need a sim card wtih service or just a simcard without service coz mines doesn't have service!
Depends which model of iPhone and if you have a phone running off a CDMA network (Version, etc.)
Typically any model above the iPhone 4 should work just fine
I have a iphone 4 16gb white with rogers sim, so it won't work?
- When you restore an iphone from itunes backup does it restore messages? I need to restore my iPhone 4S in iTunes, will I lose my messages or will it leave the messages from my most recent back up?
- What happens to your phone service when you restore an iPhone without the back up data? Just wondering. Because it's one of the only ways I can clear the 'Other' data from my 8GB iPhone. Anyone know what that is anyway?

- Same network, Iphone 5 only receiving Edge service, Iphone 4 receiveing 3g service? Running IOS 6.1.2 on Iphone 5, 6.1 on Iphone 4 Both on O2 Can't get 3g service on iphone 5. Iphone 4 can and they are both in the same room, any ideas why?
