Share ethernet connection to iphone with no Wi-Fi?
I'm in my dorm room at school and I don't have a Wi-Fi connection to my laptop, I have it plugged in to an ethernet cable and have tried sharing that connection to my iphone but it usually only works if my laptop also has a Wi-Fi signal. I was wondering if there was anyway to get Wi-Fi on my phone when I don't have Wi-Fi on my laptop, either through ethernet or bluetooth or whatever.
Ethernet is only for computers. Cellphones do not share the Ethernet because they don't have a port. I don't fully understand your question. But to share files from laptop to phone requires a Wireless internet connection to your phone as well.
