Should i buy the iphone 5 or the 5c?

My android recently stopped working and i urgently need a new phone so i decided to get an iphone. I don't want the 5s so please don't suggest it, it's just too expensive for me since i will have to buy these phones unlocked. I'm scared about buying the 5 because apple discontinued them and i fear it may have software problems due to that. Which one should i buy, 5 or 5c?

5c is a budget option. But since 5 and 5c cost the same, go for the 5, you will have no issues what's so ever just because its a 5…

You won't have software problems with the 5! They have just been replaced by the 5c. It is the exact same phone, aside from the casing. They have the same capabilities and support available through Apple. I'd personally get the 5 out of the two, but that is because I don't want a brightly colored phone with the plastic-type casing.

The 5c was made to be a bit more cost efficient. The difference? The casing is the same casing that was used on the older phones, such as the 3G. It is also more durable than the glass used on the 5 or 5s.

Iphone 5c is better.

Buy the new one if you are buying a new one. Or buy a used iPhone 5, that would be the best bet for the money.

The actual differences between the 5c and 5 that no one knows:

The 5c has an improved front facing camera
The 5c has more LTE bands
The 5c is slightly underclocked (a few Mhz slower than the 5)

Btw, the 5c is a kind of a trick to let people buy the *only* 100$ more expensive 5s.
Oh and yeah, the back is plastic.

Don't worry about Apple not caring about the 5, they will still update it until a long time from now (I suspect till iOS 10, 2017).
