Should I buy iPhone 5S or should I buy a DSLR?
I own a Samsung Galaxy S3.
I wanted to buy a iPhone 5S.
Do you think I should buy a DSLR instead of iPhone 5S or choosing an iPhone is a better choice.
Please don't tell it is my choice.
If you had a samsung galaxy s3 as your phone and you have a choice to either buy your first DSLR or a iPhone 5s, which would you choose?

I would say, go for a DSLR. IPhone 5S and Samsung Galaxy S3 have almost the same performance so you wouldn't gain anything from buying the phone. Also I personally think that Android is much better than iOS, it gives you much more control over what you do and you can download from the web as well whereas, on iOS, you have to either transfer it via iTunes or use the App Store. You would be better off with the DSLR as it would give you some photography experience and you will be able to capture stunning pictures with a lot of detail.
Also, If you are going to buy a DSLR, go for Canon. I personally think its the best brand in the market.
The 5S is really good and has fantastic camera and video, but if you want professional photo taking that can really only be done with something like DSLR and a big lens.
It depends on how important photography is to you. As an experienced amateur I find the pictures from my high end DSLR infinitely superior to the happy snaps from my iPhone, so I take pictures with a proper camera and make phone calls with the iPhone. The thing is, though, that the proper camera I use most is not my DSLR at all but a compact (Panasonic TZ-20, with lots of megapixels, a long zoom, high quality results and infinitely cheaper than a DSLR).
Keep your present phone and go for a compact camera.
- Will an iphone microphone work on a dslr camera? I have a canon 600d and i need to get a mic, will an iphone mic like the iRig work on my camera? If not what microphone should i get? I don't want an expensive one cause i won't be using it a lot it's just for a school project.

However, I was instructed to use a DLSR camera. (Keep in mind when taking photos I will take them in the optimum conditions for iPhone cameras.) Do you think I could fake it?
