Should i get iphone 5 or windows phone 8x?

i personally have the i phone 5 and i'm in love with it (not literally) but my friend has the windows phone and he loves it and we always have arguments and what not. But, if your getting the i phone 5 then you should get a 4G not like 300 mb and *** cause that's stupid but if you were planning to get a 300 mb with the i phone 5 then you are better off with the windows phone 8x.
But i think either one is cool or get one for 2 years and the other after your contract
- What should I do should I get a new phone or not be embarrassed? And how do I convince my parents to get me a new phone? I have an iPhone 4 and it is 2017. The iPhone 7 already came out and I jane a 4. I feel really embarrassed when I take out my phone that I don't take it out because my friends have the iPhone 6 and 7.
