Software to photo composite overlay?
I'm tired of gimp and its crony features to add a image into a image i could not even paste the cutout figure into the other image it didn't give me the option to right click on the secondary image. I want to cut and paste a piece of wall art into another photo (living area) i wish i had my iPhone because i had apps to over lay and composite. I have macbook air.
Let's not confuse lack of familiarity with application capability. Gimp is powerful but since it's free, it doesn't have as much automated features as Photoshop so you are left to do most things manually. If you just can't understand the free one then stop complaining and pay for the popular one. It's that simple.

GIMP is not being obstinate. All image editing apps allow you to add two image layers into one blank layer. You just didn't use layers. Try creating a new transparent or white (your choice) layer that is at least as large as the largest of the two images. Then select one image, copy, paste it to the new blank layer.
