Sony Vaio won't pick up Wi-Fi?
My sony vaio laptop, which is less than 3 months old is not finding any Wi-Fi networks, but I have a hotspot from AT&T and my home router that my iphone picks up both. I can't get internet unless I turn on my phone hotspot and plug it in, so it acts like a hardware connection. The Wi-Fi is on on the laptop.
Press start, press the Run command, type in ipconfig
That usually fixes it for me…
Take it back to the store the Wi-Fi antenna is probably busted on the laptop or the cable got a pinch and loose connection. 3 months old it is well within the warranty period. Use it while it is there.
Hi try and update your drivers for Wi-Fi from sony's website. They may have updated them for this reason.It's always good to check for updates for product's you buy at least once a month. Hope this help's
Contact sony warranty, they prob have fix; plus, that puts you on record you acted w/in the warranty period.
I upgrade FACTORY warranties, not the hokey retailers' warranties, to cover exclusions like hinges, and to extend at least a yr.
Make sure the wireless is turned on; some laptops have an on / off switch for wireless and yours may be off.
Do you see any wireless networks when you scan for wireless? If not and if wireless is on, you may have a driver problem.
- Wi-Fi Disabled on Sony Vaio? All of the wireless connections on my Sony Vaio laptop are disabled. It will not recognize any connections. It says there aren't any available. There are connections available because I'm using my Wi-Fi connection on my Apple TV and iPhone. I have turned on the switch on the computer to enable the Wi-Fi but it won't work. The network adapter is also enabled.

- What to do with found Iphone if the owner won't pick it up? I found a iphone at my cabin a few months ago, we plugged in in found and the owner. We messaged her on facebook, called her, texted her and did a lot to get it back to her. We finally got a hold of her through email. We have been waiting to hear back from her. I would go drop it off to her but she lives a hour and a half away. What do I do with the phone if she hasn't already came and gotten it? What do we do with it?
