Storage full on iPhone. What is Other?
I got an iPhone 4s last spring and my storage keeps saying its full. I really don't have that much on my iphone. Under settings I looked up the Usage and it says all 13.5 available gigs have been used up. I plugged in my phone to my laptop and brought up iTunes. I discovered I have 11.3 GB full of "other" storage. WHAT COULD POSSIBLY TAKE UP 11 GBS!
Other usually means stuff on your phone but the others shouldn't be related with apps games music but I don't know what you store on your phone best thing to do is restore your phone I wouldnt suggest you backup cause what's the point of restoring it I think it would be the same
Others is application storage here
There's chance that iPhone storage database get corrupted and the whole data is displayed as 'other'.
A complete restore is the only option left at such conditions, given that yours is not jailbroken.
If your device isn't jailbroken, restore
If it is, preserve OS and restore
- Why my iphone 5a says storage is almost full why I've almost nothing? So my iphone 5s says my storage is almost full while pictures is about 800! And I've no music no books and no big apps! This happened before And I tried deleting all pictures and most of the apps but nothing changed! - Why is my iphone's storage full? I have an iphone 5 that holds 13.5GB and my phones been telling me that its storage is full. When i went on my computer, my 5 apps only take up 522.6mb, my songs 314.8, and my songs 1.04gb. The last section labeled "other" takes up 11.55GB. What the heck is other? I have nothing else on my phone that i know of that takes up THAT much space. I've had to delete apps and photos just to get a few megabites back.
