Switch Windows 8 iTunes to Windows 7?

Yes I have two OSes. I have been using Windows 8 for a long time, I used iTunes to organize my music and done other stuff to organize my iTunes well. The problem is, something happened to Windows 8 and now I have to go back to Windows 7. I haven't used Windows 7 for quite a while, so I didn't really use the Windows 7 one. I tried to launch iTunes in Windows 8 directory, but it says there a problem with the installation and needs to be reinstalled (of course, different OS).

This is really bad luck for me, as I'm getting a new iPhone soon, so Windows 7 iTunes wouldn't have my backups that I did in Windows 8.So I'm wondering if there's any way to use the old iTunes back? Because if I don't, I have to organize all my music and things all over again which is very troublesome.

Added (1). ELfaGeek: I did what you said, but it doesn't even sync. The music page were still the old one, not the organized one.

"Windows 7 iTunes wouldn't have my backups that I did in Windows 8" That is NOT true.

Install the latest version of iTunes on Windows 7, and open it, and then, LOG-in to the iTunes Store with the same User Name and Password you used on iTunes on Windows 8.

And then, everything will reappear on W 7, like MAGIC. Finally, SYNC your new iPhone after you authorize it in iTunes > on the "Store TAB".

I wasn't aware that there was a difference between iTunes on 8 or 7.It's the same program completely. I'm a little confused on what is going on. It sounds like you have installed windows 7 and somehow kept all you're files but iTunes isn't working? If this is so in your My Music folder is another folder labeled iTunes. In this folder you will find all you're old iTunes settings. This folder will also have any CD's you added. However if you got music from an outside source the music will be where ever you keep it and you will need to import it again.

  • Would I be able to switch carriers without having to switch phones? I'm with Consumer Cellular and I have an iPhone SE, but I'm thinking of switching carriers so that I can get unlimited data. I don't want to get a new phone because I've had my current one about six months, I really like it, and it works great. I'm not locked into a contract with Consumer Cellular. Would I be able to switch to another carrier without having to purchase a new phone?

  • Should i switch from Windows to Mac? I'm thinking of buying a Macbook, it's expensive, but at-least I enjoy the liberty of knowing I won't be catching any viruses. I heard it's faster and more stable, and can connect fluently with other apple products (have an iPhone 5). What i want to know is, what are the downsides?
