Switching from Verizon to Straight Talk?

I currently have a contract with Verizon Wireless until February. My account is currently suspended, but I was curious to know if there's any way that I can use straight talk or another service provider until I can afford to have my service with Verizon cut back on? I have an iPhone 4S.

They say iPhone will work on their service BUT I don't know about the older models… I would contact their customer service and talk to them about it. Sorry I can't find any more info about this.

There's one big problem if this is a contract and the phone was bought with it. If Big Red has suspended the account, and possibly will shut it off for good, you are forgetting that means they will blacklist the phone's serial number too. Blacklist meaning it can never be reactivated or used on another US carrier ever again. It will become an iPod paperweight only. You will undoubtedly lose the phone number too. Certainly not what you were expecting to hear but want you to know the real situation. It could take hundreds of dollars to rectify this with Big Red. Considering the outstanding bill balance, the reactivation fees, etc., it might be time to move on to Straight talk and just start fresh with a new phone. Bottom line, there's little hope you are going to able to take your 4s with you. Hope it works out for you. Best luck.
