Internet on my laptop is not working? - 1
So here's the thing.
The Internet on my laptop (Dell XPS 17, Win 7) is not working. Yet, all the other Wi-Fi enabled devices in my home are. E. G.iPad, Apple Mac, iPhone, HP Desktop.
I have tried everything to my knowledge to try and fix the problem and I have run out of ideas.
Things I have tried are: Trouble shooting, shutting down and restarting, direct connection through Ethernet, deleting some unwanted programs, trying to access modem IP from browser (and failing).
I should also mention that it is picking up and connecting to my Wi-Fi, it just has a small little "!" inside a triangle (I'm pretty sure it's called a "caution sign" I just didn't know for sure so I described it).
Could someone please help, it's been like this for 3 days now and it's becoming an inconvenience.
Did you restart you router and modem or either or
Have you tryed the LAN switch it should be on the bottom of the laptop.
Go and check the Device Manager and see if there's a yellow? Or! In it.
If it have, you need to install driver for it.
- Wi-Fi not working on Toshiba laptop? My Wi-Fi (router by Netgear) is not working on my laptop (Toshiba). I got my laptop about a year ago & it doesn't have a switch. But the Wi-Fi is working on my Kindle Fire & my iPhone. This has happened many times this year. I've tried restarting the router & laptop many times.
- Why isn't my internet on my laptop working? DNS server? My internet on the home computer is working and my iPhone is working as well. On my laptop it says that I'm connected to my network. However, when I try to open up Chrome or Firefox, it won't connect to any pages. Chrome keeps saying that DNS server isn't available. Does anyone know hwo to help?
- Why is hotspot not working on my laptop? I'm trying to use hotspot on my laptop from my iPhone 4S. I haves turned my iphone off then turned it back on then plugged my phone into the laptop then that worked then it quit working. Now I'm restarting my laptop.
- Why does my iPhone still charge for Internet even when I'm not using Internet? So, I recently got a pay monthly plan with my new iPhone 4s. When i'm out and about I'm usually updating my twitter and Facebook account. But, when I'm put my phone down, 3G still says I'm using it and charging me. So do I have to turn it off when i'm finished? Or is there a much easier way?
