I own an iPhone 4S 16GB and I have updated to current IOS. I have not had any issues.
I suggest putting the phone in DFU mode. Press and hold power and home button. When phone turns on release power button and continuing to hold home button. The phone should now be in DFU (Default Firmware Update) and plug into computer. ITunes should see the device and it will tell you it needs to be restored. ITunes will then do the restore.
If this does not work, I would suggest contacting the local Apple Store and scheduling an appointment. They will have the answers to this issue.

- My mom and i got the same phone and same plan yet her internet loads all the time and mine never does? Two iPhone 7+. Same unlimited data plan. Yet literally no matter where I'm, nothing that uses data loads unless I'm connected to Wi-Fi. Yet my mom's internet loads no matter where she is. It's even happened that we're in the same place trying to load the same thing and hers loads while mine doesn't. Yes, I have my data turned on. I've made sure all my data settings are identical to my mom's. So i really don't know what could be causing this.
- Is tbere any major différence between thé iPhone 6 and the 6s? Whooppeee is Xmas again and my daughter wants new 2nd hand) iPhone… 2 years ago almost bought her 5 before i réaliséd that it was 5s she wanted ( cos thé 5 sucks?) And I don't want to screw up this year…
- Is it possible to use the same apple ID for a new phone but not have everything from the old phone transfer over? I was just wondering because I will be getting a new iPhone and I want to still use my current apple ID, but have a clean slate and choose what transfers over.
