Ups says package is delivered but it really isn't?

I ordered my new iphone 5s about a week ago and been waiting for it impatiently. I been checking ups tracking everyday and it said it would come today. This morning it was "out for delivery" at 3:37 am before the end of the day. I made sure someone was home the whole day then from 5-9 i was home waiting for my package. I see a ups truck outside my house around 7:40 pm and thought it would come to my door but it left without doing so. I check and even call ups for my package status around 8:15 and they said it's still out for delivery. Then i check my status again around 9:20 pm and it says delivered at 8:58 pm and it was left outside my door. Now i didn't hear any knock or doorbell and wouldnt they have me sign it? Maybe someone stole it?

i can't believe this has happened as i never have encountered problems with ups before.hopefully they can find it and if they can't, i want a refund or a new phone delivered without charge.

Added (1). Also this sucks cuz its a friday.

Call UPS.

They must have left the "iPhone Inside" sticker on the box, and your neighbors got curious.

I use FedEx signature required, myself.

Did you grab a flashlight and look out front, or check between the doors in case they put it inside the screen door? Was the address correct on the order?

I usually get anything of value shipped to where I work (including my phone). Other things that do not require signature I get at home. Typically they just toss it on the front porch (usually where not real visible) without ringing the bell by 1 PM, because they use the same trucks for daily pick ups from business customers in the afternoon (like at our warehouse).

UPS is open on Saturdays but usually only until noon or 2PM. My guess is that your UPS driver either stole it himself OR took off of work early and reported it delivered in the UPS automated tracking system in order to cover for himself leaving early. Go to the UPS delivery hub for your area FIRST thing tomorrow morning and tell them what you posted here (NOT your local UPS store-The delivery package tracking center). IF they refuse to take you seriously right away and don't look into it; then tell them you are going to sit down in the waiting area and call the police and wait for them there because your phone was so expensive that you need to find out who did it because your mom is a lawyer and this has just become a grand theft larceny case.
If that don't get their asses moving, honey: then nothing will.
