What can I do for a crack iPhone?
I have an iPhone 4 and I've had it for about a year and a half now. Today I dropped it and the screen cracked. I'm apparently out of warranty (yes I know apple's warranty last a year but I PAYED for the apple care. However they refuse to believe that) so anyway is there anything that I can do to get it fixed? I can't get a new phone, and I can't go to apple and spend $100 because my warranty is up. Also, I'm not comfortable with buying one of those kits to fix the screen yourself because I know i will somehow make everything worse…
I have Verizon. Is there anything they can do? (most likely they'll just tell me to get a new phone) Can I go to anywhere like Best Buy or any other store like that?
You could go to a apple store and they can fix it…
Apple won't touch it unless it's under warranty of course Verizon won't do anything but if I remember my friend used to work at best and I kinda remember him saying they do something like that i don't know if its free or not ill check with them good luck
I think you can get a screen repair from radio shack for around $200 if you check.
Of course they are not going to believe you paid for premium services unless you can demonstrate it. Where are the papers from your apple care policy?
Why can't you get a new phone? This is when you go buy a cheap something that will get you buy until you can renew your contract and buy a new nice phone. Contracts are typically two years, you said you bought the phone about 1.5 years ago, most of the time they let you upgrade early.
You *may* be able to plead your case in a way that a manager feels sorry for you and lets you upgrade early. I did that once but it was several years ago.
Send a message out to friends and family asking if they have an extra phone you can borrow or have.
What is going to suck is you will still be paying the iphone plan without the iphone until you renew or the contract ends.
There are people on ebay and such offering screen replacement service. Could probably post on craigslist to get a screen replacement, or a used phone.
I mean, really, think here, there are TONS of options available.
