What data plan should I get?

I'm getting an iphone 5s with the AT&T two-year contract. I'm asked to pick a shared data plan ranging from 300mb to 50gb. I really don't know what this all means tbh. Can anyone help me figure out which one I should get? I don't call very often, maybe two or three times per month, I text A LOT (picture and video messaging too), check email, use internet (moderately, not too much but not too little either). I don't really go on youtube nor do I play games or any other stuff like that.

300 MB is too small

50GB is too expensive.

Just get the 2GB plan (unless there's 2 people on the line, then get 4GB)

3GB makes most sense on AT&T unless you download A LOT and the other answer 2gb 4gb? What sort of plan is that, I clearly have ATT me and my dad have 3gb plans and my mom 5gb w/ hotspot

Start out with either 1GB or 2GB plan. You can always increase your data plan if you use more than you thought you would without a fee.

I think you should get an unlimited plan, since you do text, send videos, and surf the web moderately. Surfing the web alone uses a lot of data. Don't limit yourself. Your data usage habits could change as you grow accustomed to your phone.

I would suggest either gettting 1-4 GB. It really just depends on how many people are on the shared plan.

  • Which Verizon Data Plan Should I Go With? I don't know which data plan to go with. This will be my first time owning a phone and I want to get the iPhone 5. I'm not constantly on the internet, but I don't know how much that will change when I get the phone. Can Anyone give me like specifics on which one I should go with?
  • Which data plan should I get? ATT iPhone? I'm going somewhere for 3 weeks and I need to upgrade my data plan because I'll be using Turn by turn directions ALOT! I currently have 300 MB (lowest) of data each month. The next few upgrades are 1 GB, 2 GB, 4 GB, 6 GB, 8 GB, etc. I'll be needing to use the internet more, emails, google, and using maps with Siri. Anyone have any information?
  • What is data in a Verizon data plan? I just got an iphone 5 and am having some trouble. I know that data includes email, accounts and any internet websites (facebook, youtube, netflix). Does it use up data to have multiple internet browsers open even though I only look at one at a time? Is it possible to use up data when the phone is off? Also, is taking a picture, playing app games, listening to music, and siri considered to be "data" on the data plan? Is there an overall explanation for what a data plan is?
  • Should I get the 3MB or the 5MB data plan? For iPhone 5, teenager? I think I'm getting an iPhone and I was wondering which data plan I should choose (AT&T) I'm deciding between the 3MB and 5MB, how much is enough? I would use my phone for the usual things, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, random browsing. I have wi-fi at home and sometimes at school. I get emails during the day but I don't really send them. WHat would you guys recommend? My bad, i meant 3GB and 5GB
