What do I do with this bricked iphone?

I have an iphone 4s which was working just fine until I tried to install OS 7.04. I have tried redsnow, all the apple forum suggestions, numerous youtube videos, tiny umbrella and tiny umbrella recovery, ifaith, and I have wasted hours. No days of my time. I had that waste of insurance asurion, which would cost me $160. Well, I'm in a money crunch right now, so my husband is gracious and gave me his iphone 4 and he is going to use a track phone. I basically use the navigator cuz I work home health. Anyway, I just want to know what to do with the thing. Everyone once in a while I try again, and it just drives me crazy. Do you think one of those phone mac machine things to sell it? It is stuck on the recovery screen, so it would register as having power. Do I just chuck in in an envelope and mail it back to apple with a big f- u? I'm sick of this expensive paper weight that has been bricked since last year. What are your ideas? It is a damn shame.

Sell it on eBay, some foolish person might buy it with the high hopes of repairing it, or else wants the screen and internal parts.

I don't think sending it to Apple is a good idea: you can still get a couple of bucks out of that phone, so why giving it away?
You could try listing it on eBay, but if you do not want to deal with taking pics and all that hassle (not to mention returns, and buyers who don't pay), check out here: http://www.gadgetsalvation.com/sell-iphone.php
I have sold my old iPhone to them in the past, no complaints. And the whole selling process took not even 5 days, which is not bad, I think.
You probable will not get much, but even $50-90 is worth trying, right?
Hope that helps.

  • Will my iPhone become bricked after updating to iOS 7 without registering my UDID? I recently downloaded iOS 7 without registering my UDID number. I have followed the steps perfectly by holding shift and clicking update software on iTunes and selecting the iOS 7 ipsw. I was wondering if my iPhone will become bricked when the iOS 7 beta 2 comes out to developers. I have watched one youtube video and it says it will become bricked and read a comment on another website saying it won't if you have followed the steps perfectly. Will you guys help me?
  • Will my iPhone 5 get bricked if i get ios 7 beta for free? I was just curious because i really want to get ios 7 for free after seeing a few youtube videos demonstrating on how to get it but i heard that when beta 2 releases for ios 7 that my iPhone 5 will get bricked. If that's the case i don't want to get ios 7 but if it's possible to unbrick my iPhone 5 can someone tell me? Can i downgrade from ios 7 to ios 6?
  • My bricked iPhone won't support a charge. It was previously non-tetheredly jailbroken? It's a 16gb iPhone 3gs. I jailbroke it but it was untethered so it became bricked. It started with not charging on the computer and then not charging on the wall charger and then eventually not holding a charge.
  • IPhone 4 is it bricked or just the battery? Okay so i dropped my iphone 4 in the sink by accident for like 10 seconds and now i tried to restore by using tinyumbrella and now the apple logo appears (no longer in recovery mode) but like 5 seconds after the apple logo appears and then fades and it does that process the whole doesn't it get past it so is it a dead battery or is it completely gone iphone 4?
