What "I" mean in apple
"I "means internet. Because Apple was so advance that we can browse internet in iPhone. That time phone were just used for calling
Had a feeling someone would say it stood for internet. It doesn't though.
The i is simply used due to its association with Apple & their naming practices with their products.
It was 1st used on the 1998 iMac & back then it did stand for internet due to the iMac's ability to easily connect online which was a big deal back then.
The 1st non-computer it was used on was the 2001 iPod. Of course that model did not have any internet access & no model of it did until 2007 when the iPod touch came out.

- What use is an ipad or ipad mini to someone with an iphone and macbook? I'm thinking of getting an ipad mini or ipad 2 for someone who already has an iphone 5 and macbook pro.
