What happens once an iPhone can no longer power up?
My iPhone 5c suffered water damage and won't turn on at all. I want to sell my phone to a company that buys broken devices (uSell). My question is, will they be able to access my personal information (contacts, pictures, email, apps, etc) since I was never able to sign out of iCloud?
You can change your icloud password or use find my iphone to remotely wipe it, so if it is on and connected it will be wiped. I would just trade it in and upgrade to the latest because then you know the apple store or carrier won't do anything bad, and you won't get much anyway if water damaged.
- Will a person receive text messages on iPhone once they power phone back on? When I text a friend of mine, sometimes their texts show up green when I text him (we both have iPhones and messages are normally blue)… Once their phone gets powered back on will the text messages I send when the phone is off b received once the phone is turned back on?
- What happens if you buy a iPhone of eBay and it happens to be stolen? I typed in a serial number of an iPhone into apple checker and it said the phone has not been activated? The phone is still sealed in its box is the phone ok to buy?
- What happens if the power button is missing from my iPhone? I accidentally broke it. I probably pressed too hard and it fell off. It was so quiet, and I didn't notice until I was trying to screenshot something but it didn't work because the power button is MISSING/GONE. I'm shocked right now as I have NO idea what to do.
- Once you've update your iPhone, can you go back? I've got the iPhone 4s and I've just updated the software to 6.0 but I'm not very keen on it. I was wondering if it was possible to go back to the original software that came with my phone without losing anything (contacts, apps, music, photos etc.)
