What is the best way to get Internet in America?

I'm going to America soon for 2 weeks and I would like to be able to get Facebook so I can use messenger to message people here in Australia because I know texting bills both me and the person I'm texting. Since it's a holiday I would also like to upload and send photos on Facebook as well. I have an iPhone, what would be the best way to do all this, I'm not sure if it's as easy as buying credit or a SIM card over there but have anyone done this before or knows what I should do?

Call a cable company.comcast… Direct tv… Ect.

It's different in america - you don't have to pay for "minutes" or "bandwidth" like you do in AU

Here in the US There are alot of free Wi-Fi areas you can use, and others that you can just pay by day or month if thats more convenient. For example, panera bread, mcdonalds, every coffee shop, starbucks, many hotels, even some bars… Have free Wi-Fi where (or some with a small cost) where you can just visit there and use it to post. Imessage is also free even internationally so you can send texts without paying for any plan, that also sends over Wi-Fi.
