It depends on which model you get and what data plan you get with it. Go to a store like Best Buy that has all phones and plans and you can browse all options. Or go to an apple store. I believe they have all the plans from most if not all carriers. Or just go to the one carrier store like Verizon or whichever one you had and ask about financing.
Update - I'm on a family plan, but pay my part of the plan. We're on Verizon, i have the iPhone 6 64 GB and pay around $75/month. We have a ten gb data plan for four lines. But if you're on Wi-Fi a lot, that doesn't count towards your plan. We're also on the Verizon's Edge plan. Where you pay the retail price of the phone (the $600 - $800 or whatever the prices are with out contracts) along with the data plan, and when you pay off the phone, all you pay is the data plan. Plus you don't have to wait every two years for the contract to finish to upgrade your phone if you wish. I'd still go to an Apple store, they have most if not all plans available, and can walk you through the options. Or go to a carrier store you're familiar with, and ask them what they have and pricing.

Its cheaper to buy it out, all once. You buy extra money with contract.

- IPhone 5S for £38/$63 a month, or iPhone 5C for £33/$55 a month? I've just got an iPhone 5C, 24 months £33 a month, 500mb of data, £10 up front payment. But i've just realised that I might be able to just afford an extra £5 a month for the iPhone 5S, which would be 1gb data and £40 up front cost. So i'm tempted to swap for that, what do you think?
