What jobs will I be able to do as a blind person?

I'm a 17 year old blind girl living in London, and IIm currently doing my AS levels. When I was a bit younger I always used to think that I would never let my disability stop me doing what I want in life, but know iim not so sure. IIm not that great with technology, are use my iPhone to do all my research but I don't really know how to use those speech program is like supernova all jaws on computers and laptops. I keep thinking to myself what job will I be able to do? IIm interested in journalism and news broadcasting, but I don't really know, can a Braillist become a journalist or broadcast the news? IIm really lost and actually quite worried. Most people in my classes at school do a job in the evenings or on weekends, mostly as shop assistants, I want to do voluntary work too but I wouldn t really be able to work in the shop would I?

Umpires.

You could sit around and collect disability lol

I'm wondering how you are able to read this answer?

You can do some call centre work seeing as you can use a computer and speak English, I used to do that, we didn't have any blind people but since you can type good and stuff I don't see why you couldn't do it. You'd have to learn the software though, would you be able to learn it?

This is so cool, would you like to email me? I'm so curious about how you're communicating with us if you can't see, it's great. Is somebody helping you?

Here is the RNIB web site and some useful links:

Cashier work.

I think you need to reach out to a blind support group of some kind. I'm sure there's tones of things you are able to do, you just need to experiment and find it

You could be Aston Villa's new goalie.
