There are CDMA iPhones & GSM iPhones.
Did your T Mobile sim card come with your iPhone 7 Plus. If so it is a GSM phone. However, you can get an unlocked phone from Apple or buy one from a Verizon store where they come pre unlocked out of the box
There are CDMA iPhones and GSM iPhones, and even 4G-LTE has differences for different cellular towers.
Tracfone uses one of Verizon, AT&T, T-mobile, Sprint. Using computer email try sending a text to your phone and as the message state the carrier you are trying. Here is what to use as the email address for each.
AT&T [insert 10-digit number]@txt.att.net
Sprint [insert 10-digit number]@messaging.sprintpcs.com
T-Mobile [insert 10-digit number]@tmomail.net
Verizon [insert 10-digit number]@vtext.com
So for example, if your phone number is 123-456-7890, the one email you send would be addressed to 1234567890@vtext.com and for the message put the word Verizon. Another would be to 1234567890@tmomail.et and for the message put the word T-Mobile, etc.
Your phone will receive one of the 4 you send and that will tell you what network your phone uses.
