What to do if your iPhone 5s got wet and now won't charge?
About a month ago my iPhone fell in water Which had some spices in it n as It fell i quickly wiped it took a newspaper n tried absorbing water it was having a case tat time because of which the water only went into the charging point n speakers I also took my hair dryer n tried drying it n then it was perfectly fine n was working well but now after a month later it's not charging at first I thought it was the dust particles but no after a week it again stopped charging its only charging wen its turned off please help!
If it only charges when turned off maybe the electiricty your using isn't enough.
And just be sure get a zip-lock bag, put your iphone there and fill it with rice, should absorb all the water.
The charging terminals inside the port are copper. When copper comes into contact with water and oxygen, it tarnishes and turns green, which could be interfering with the charger.take a toothpick and gently rub it against the copper teeth in the chargin port and see if any dirt or green corrosion comes off.
- My iphone got wet in the rain and now my sound is playing really low and muffled? It was raining and I was out and my iPhone was in my pocket, I don't even know how it got wet or it could of been a puddle that splashed but now when I play music, phone rings or text alert its very quiet and muffled and crackly or sometimes I can hardly hear anything at all. - My iPhone 4s got wet in a storm. The camera now won't work I have tried to reset and restore. I've tried closing the app, restarting my phone. Everything else works. It's just the camera that doesn't work. After my phone got wet I put it in rice for 24 hours (although for most of the time my phone was on!) Can someone please help me? The only thing now is it won't charge. It died and I plugged it in and it says that it's charger but then after a while it stops and just shows the connect to power symbol. It won't turn on. I really can't afford a new iPhone. How can I fix this? Now it's completely dead and won't show anything at all.
