What to do with blacklisted iPhone 5?
I was on T-Mobile for a couple of months and I had horrible service. I had no bars in my house and had to walk to the end of my backyard to send a text or a call. Text or calls were not received. I called them around 10 ten times. Each time it was "the tower is broken" or something completely different. I asked for signal booster, never got it. I decided to leave. I was not going to pay tmobile $1500 for the 3 iPhones so I just asked at&t and they said I could go to them and the iPhones were unlocked. So I ordered the sims. When I put them in it won't let me. What can I do with these phones? What do I do? I'm not paying them.
If you don't pay they will be blocked - you can't use them because the ESN/IMEI will be bad.
No company will activate a phone because it's ESN/IMEI is bad.
First, there's nothing you can do with them until you pay T-Mobile. They can't be activated, even with another company, until you do. Once the account is settled you can ask T-Mobile to unlock them so that you can use them on AT&T or you can sell them to another T-Mobile customer and recoup some of your money.
Second, I suggest you pay T-Mobile for the simple fact that you owe them the money, it will effect your credit and while that $1500 may seem like a lot it is actually very little when you think of it preventing your ability to get credit to purchase a car or home now or later. Some jobs require credit checks as well.
I would say, pay the $1500 to T-Mobile. Get those phones unblocked. Then sell iPhone 5 in CL for around $350-$450 a piece so you get close to what you paid and then take new contracted iPhone 5S from AT&T
