Why do I have no space on my iphone 5?

I have a 16 gig iPhone 5 but I now only have 108 MB left. I think there's about 1000 MB in a GB. According to my phone the things using space on my phone are

I did the math and it should only be 4.15 GB taken but all my space is used. Why is this happening?

The ios takes 2.4 and all the add on in the apps and the app updates use space.

When you got these numbers, did you also check that memory-bar thing at the bottom of the iTunes window? You may be out of room because you didn't clear the memory used by Safari. You can take care of that in settings. Also possible - your iPod's unused memory may be reserved by iTunes. If you haven't selected manual management of music and video, iTunes may reserve as much space on your iPod to fit everything on your computer.

  • Will a 16GB iPhone 5 have 16GB of space? I want to get an iPhone 5 and the 16GB will suffice, however I'm concerned about the actual space. I have a 32GB iPod Touch but according to iTunes the maximum space available is 28.5GB. Could I expect this sort of thing to happen on the iPhone?
