Why does my iPhone 4s' battery die so quickly?

I'll have it fully charged when I wake up at 8, then it's basically almost dead around 1 in the afternoon. It use to not die this quickly. But now it's like crazy how fast it dies! I'm on Twitter a lot and I text a lot. But I use to always do that too, and it never died as quickly as it does now. Any tips to help save battery?

The more you charge it the faster the battery runs out so you might want to charge it less or your will run out really fast

Disable wi-fi/internet when not using.

Maybe it's your brightness or maybe you have apps still open running out your battery. I have an iPhone too and it used to due Really fast in like 2-3 hours when I Wasbt even doing anything on it. So try making sure you're closed out of apps and that your brightness isn't so high if that's what it is. And it may have something to do with how much time you spend on your twitter and message. So if you're not reay doing anything with it close out the app and check back for a notification or what not later. Sorry if this doesn't help. It was my battery issue so I'm just guessing that's probably the reason of yours too

You'll have to replace it, its a little trick by apple to make us have to buy more stuff from them, don't get me wrong i love my iphone but they make certain parts that have short usage life span deliberately apple are like crack dealers they get you hooked just to buy more stuff, you can change it yourself so don't go to a shop and get them to do it! They'll con you, get one from Amazon! Xxx

Many have reported battery dying quickly after upgrading to ios 6. There isn't much you can do except downgrade.

You can try:

Turn down brightness
Turn off bluetooth and Wi-Fi
Stop apps from running while not using them (double click the home button and hold down an app and press the minus sign. This will not delete the app, just stop it from running in the background.)
Disable push notifications
Don't leave the phone in direct sunlight or get too hot.
Let the battery run out and then charge it.

  • Why does my iPhone battery die so quickly? I had my iPhone for about a year and a half, and recently I've noticed that the battery is draining incredibly fast. I've always had it on 3g internet/Wi-Fi and the battery never died this fast so I don't know what the exact problem is. I charged it to 100% yesterday and I only used it for maybe about 10 minutes and left it untouched for the rest of the night. Today when I woke up the phone was dead. I haven't changed the settings or anything fyi.
  • Why does my iPhone battery die so fast? I have boost magic, which is supposed to help my battery last longer, and I kill all my apps when I'm done using them. I go from 100 at 8am and I'm at 60 by 9:30am. And I hardly use it too, just to look up information quickly and I just set my phone aside. I let it go down to 20% battery and let it charge over night. It just started doing this recently. I also keep my brightness to pretty much 0 with the auto brightness on. And it still dies fast. What can I do?
  • Why does my iPhone battery die in 2 hours? My iPhone battery will literally die in about 2 hours. Why is this? I have a iPhone 4S 16gb running 7.0.6… Would buying a new battery and putting it in the phone make it just like new and give me a normal all day battery like what my buddy's get? I'm very frustrated.
  • Why does my iPhone 6 die so quickly now? I dropped my phone and broke it and had to switch to my old iPhone 5c, which had a horrible battery life. I finally got my iPhone 6 fixed, but now my battery dies so much quicker then before. I'm on battery saving mode, I have bluetooth off and my screen brightness is usually down almost all the way. I do listen to music while i'm in school but that has never been a big problem before and all my apps are closed. What's the problem?
