Why does my iPhone 6 lose 20% of its charge in the morning? Read full description?

Okay, so I just got the brand new iPhone 6 Saturday, and I decided to try and prolong the battery life instead of charging it overnight and killing it like I did with my 4S. So instead of charging it overnight and overcharging it what I do is I charge it the night before I go to bed to 100% or something close like 98% and then I turn it off. When I wake up in the morning, I pack everything for school and as I head out the door before I start my car I turn my phone on to check my email and such. Then, I lock my iPhone and drive to school. When I arrive at school at 7:20 I usually won't be on my phone for more then 5 minutes, and then at 7:45 classes start.

Between the start of school and the end of school on a normal day I'll be on my phone for around 5 minutes (we're allowed to use phones if the teacher lets us). But that's about it; and really the only thing I do on my phone is look something up, for example the firing on fort sumter. This may not seem like much battery use but apparently at the end of the day (2:30) when I take out my phone to check notifications I'm at around 80%… Why am I at 80% when I haven't really done anything on the phone all day? It's just been in standby mode the whole time! Help anyone? Its a brand new iPhone, all the battery-hogging settings are turned off, and I turn it off at least once a day!

I noticed that too… Its been 3 days since I charged my 5s and its at a little over 50%. When I get home Iphone 6 is usually in the 70% range and I'm not a heavy user.

  • Why does my iPhone constantly lose its signal? I have Verizon (6 year customer) and have had my iPhone 4s for 1 year now, however, the past month or so I will be sitting in my house on my phone with 3-4 bars loading a page on the internet or using an app requiring data and I'll just directly go to "no service" (as noted by the small "o" in place of the "3G" icon. Not sure what it is, but my service has been abysmal lately, I've cleared all cache and website data, but nothing seems to be working:/

  • Use IMEI blocked iPhone on another carrier? (Read description first)? The phone was legitimately purchased by me at GameStop. The phone worked for a few seconds and quit on me. By calling 611(the AT&T wireless customer portal), it indicated to me that it's IMEI blocked. I'm using a GoPhone SIM card and was wondering if I could just use T-Mobile instead to use the phone. Edit: I was using an iphone 3G for about a year and then moved my card over to the 4s.
