Why does my laptop get such bad internet download speed while my Iphone gets 10 times more?
My router is downstairs connected to a Windows vista PC. That PC connected with an ethernet cable gets around 90-100Mbs download speed. I did another speed test on my iphone upstairs next to my laptop, and it got 80-90 Mbs. But When I did the speed test on my laptop, it was only 10Mbs down. It's really annoying because it takes like a billion years to open youtube and everything lags.
Sounds like your network card in your labtop is an older model.
- Why does my video have such bad video quality? I uploaded my video to the computer and it had great video quality, then I uploaded it to Facebook and YouTube and It looked horrible. It there anything I can do to change that? Save it a different way or something? I see all these YouTube videos that have been filmed by iPhone's and they have great quality. - My Iphone gets a fraction of my actual internet speed? My Iphone 6 gets about 50Mbps download, and 12 upload when connected to my router. My internet plan is 300Mbps download, and 15 upload. Having tested the speeds on my computer, the actual speeds I get are accurate to what they say in the plan. However, when I test it on my Iphone, they're lackluster. What gives?
- Laptop gets slow internet connection, yet all my other devices get it at full speed? This never used to be an issue up until a few weeks ago, we had a 60MB connection that was buffed up to 100, my laptop used to download at around 5.5 - 6MB per second, whereas now its between 2 and 2.5, yet my iphone and all other computers in the house still get the full speed. I have checked the drivers which are all up to date, I can't discover the problem, what could be causing this? And how can I go about solving it?
