My Iphone gets a fraction of my actual internet speed?
My Iphone 6 gets about 50Mbps download, and 12 upload when connected to my router. My internet plan is 300Mbps download, and 15 upload. Having tested the speeds on my computer, the actual speeds I get are accurate to what they say in the plan. However, when I test it on my Iphone, they're lackluster. What gives?
The Wi-Fi in your router may be outdated. The 802.11g standard tops out at 54 megabits per second.

- Why is my internet speed slow? So I have a netgear router and recently, anything connected to it has had really slow connection speed. My computer (which is wired) and my iPhone (which uses Wi-Fi) both can't load YouTube videos without constant buffering and low res. If it helps I'm with plusnet and just their standard internet service. Not sure what to do as I think I've tried everything
- Why does my laptop get such bad internet download speed while my Iphone gets 10 times more? My router is downstairs connected to a Windows vista PC. That PC connected with an ethernet cable gets around 90-100Mbs download speed. I did another speed test on my iphone upstairs next to my laptop, and it got 80-90 Mbs. But When I did the speed test on my laptop, it was only 10Mbs down. It's really annoying because it takes like a billion years to open youtube and everything lags.
- What is your Internet connection speed? Please Answer quickly. My speed is 3 Kbps. Device:- iPhone 2G (1st Gen) Operator: Airtel Country:- IndiA Connection type:- 2G Edge No 3G or 4G available.
- What internet speed should I order? - 1 I'm looking at up to 3Mbps for $29.99 per month or up to 15Mbps for $34.99 per month, before taxes and fees. I don't want to pay for more than I need, but I want to have enough speed to do what I need to. I'm a college student and I watch lectures online streaming and I have to download and upload homework assignments as well. I also stream Netflix and connect my iPhone to Wi-Fi when I get home. Which would be better for me?
