Why is iphone saying charging not supported with this accessory?
It worked fine last night. Same wire. It only happens when I connect it to the computer which I did last night.
It tends to do that bit just wiggle it usually happens when the cord is bend or just shoved in the usb.
Which USB port are you using on the computer. Try another.
I find that happens alot with my dock while the skin is on the phone. Try removing the skin before plugging it in.
Arrgh! This is happening to me, I bought an Iphone 3GS from a friend and she said everything was fine but now I've tried charging it, nothing charges and the message that you're receiving is happening to me too! I feel so upset because I just wasted my money seriously! I've looked everywhere online for answers but NO ONE has an official answer. I've tried plugging it into different wall thingies and I've plugged it into my laptop and computer and bamn, still the message is there! Do your best, but if everything fails, I think you'll need to buy a new phone, not an Iphone!

- Why does my iPhone 3 say 'Charging not supported with this accessory'? So recently my ipod got stolen, and my friend decided to give me her old iphone 3 to use instead. I used my old ipod charger with it, and it worked but then i updated the software to iOS 6.1.6 and it wouldn't charge in an outlet anymore, it is only able to charge when i connect it to my computer. I already searched online about this and someone said to put the phone onto airplane mode then charge it in an outlet but that didn't work. Any suggestions?

Whenever I try to charge my iPhone, I plug in the charger and i have to wiggle it around and then it works, then 2 seconds later it says 'This accessory may not be supported' WTF. I buy my chargers at crackerz bc i don't have enough money to buy one at Telus (I have like no money) And every like, week i have to buy a new one before it breaks. I'm getting pissed
