Why is my Sony Vaio so slow?

I have a tablet/PC tap 11. When I first bought it, it didn't really give me problems (it's been a month now). However, because my Wi-Fi modem and connection were bad, at first I thought that that was the problem. I called AT&T to fix my connection and even though they fixed it from 0.67 to 2.5 Mbps, my PC got worse. I use my iPhone 5s and ps4 with internet too and those work just fine. The one that really gives me problems is my PC. Then, I thought it would be a virus since my 30-day kaspersky expired, but I ruled that out after I purchased 1 year of it and scanned just to discover my PC it's all clean.
Whenever I enter Mozilla Firefox, I get lots of pop ups (except on google.com) and sometimes tabs open out of nowhere. Also, when I try to go to YouTube, it takes a long time even for 2mbps. It's horrible and it won't even play the video anyway.
Sometimes, even, my PC will freeze and turn off. I don't know what's wrong. I bought this directly from sony store online and I don't know who to go for to fix this terrible issue. Any ideas on what's happening and what should I do? I would appreciate it since it's my first personal computer and don't know much about computers anyway.

The problems you describe make it sound like you have some sort of adware attached to your browser that is slowing things down, but in truth there are a lot of factors that can cause your computer to slow down. Adware would not necessarily be detected as a virus by Kaspersky because it probably isn't technically damaging your system, and you may have inadvertently 'given it permission' to be there (download any freeware lately? Adware is usually packaged with it these days). Nonetheless, I need to get a bit more information to know for sure: Is everything on your computer running slowly (ie. Try running Microsoft Word - is it slower than usual?) or is it just Firefox?
-If it is your whole computer: you may be running some programs in the background that are chewing up CPU/memory; removing these will fix the problem. You could also reset your computer to factory settings (via VAIO Care), but just make sure you back up your data before you try this option.
-If it is just your browser: likely an adware problem; remove any 'bars' (eg. Google bar, Bing bar, etc.) and plugins that you don't use and hopefully it should speed things up. You can also try resetting Firefox to its initial settings.

There are many ways to boost performance of your system. A rather more traditional but comprehensive approach is to improve hardware and software capability of your system. So you may like to add ram, delete all software's you don't use and download Reginout to make your System faster. This approach should work for almost all conditions. You would also like to make sure that you have virus free system.

You laptop needs to be optimize which can be done by complete scanning and cleaning of your pc. Some unnecessary system utilities may be the reason of low performance.Install Power Booster which can run a full scan of all your drive by diving deep into every aspect of the computer's system searching for potential issues quickly and accurately. This will increase your pc performance.

It's true many times it happens that computer becomes slow due to the presence of unwanted files, worms and infections that came in different way and need to be remove… For this there's need of some good anti-malware and anti-virus software… Optimo AV is really a good option that I had find and is a really good protection.

You need a complete PC Health Check. I mean you need to optimize your PC to improve its performance and speed. Try out Amigabit PowerBooster. It helps in solving the most frustrating PC problems.
You can find it here http://www.amigabit.com/powerbooster/free-system-optimizer.html

  • Wi-Fi Disabled on Sony Vaio? All of the wireless connections on my Sony Vaio laptop are disabled. It will not recognize any connections. It says there aren't any available. There are connections available because I'm using my Wi-Fi connection on my Apple TV and iPhone. I have turned on the switch on the computer to enable the Wi-Fi but it won't work. The network adapter is also enabled.

  • Why won't Sony Vegas Pro 8 work? Ok. I synced the videos off of my iPhone 4 onto my computer which is a SamSung Windows 7. I don't have a camera like most people like the HD cameras. I'm saving up though. But when I add the clip on Sony Vegas Pro 8 it's black why is that and can it be fixed?
  • Why won't my 3 sim work in my Sony Ericsson mobile? Right now I have an 02 pay as you go sim in my unlocked Sony Ericsson phone it works fine. I've put in my 3 contract sim in and it comes up on the screen "invalid sim". I'm using a very old phone as mine was stolen. From looking at the sims, 02s has a large chip and 3s is quite small so maybe the phone can't read it? If that's the reason can I request a larger chip from 3? This is second sim I've requested from them after they stupidly sent me an iPhone one.
