Why won't my iPhone 4 turn on? - 1
So yesterday at around 7pm my iPhone 4 died, and wouldn't charge. I've tried hard booting it (holding the home button and sleep/wake button at the same time), plugging it in for a few hours, and just plain old trying to turn it on. When it first died yesterday, the little red battery symbol showed up saying to connect it to a power source. Now, today, it doesn't show anything. Just a pure black screen, no matter what I do. I haven't called in to apple or brought it in, because I just simply do not have the money for that.
Is my phone a goner? Or is there anything else I can do? (Can't plug into iTunes as my computer is broken).
Any help welcome! It has All of my information on it so I'm desperate!
You can take it to an alternate repair store and have them do a (usualy) free diagnostic of it. I suggest doing it a few times with different stores or different days so you can validate that what they say, you should do. If not, just wait it out and reset it when your computer is fixed. Or even better, do it on a friend's computer and just resync it with yours.
Usually you can take it to a apple store and the diagnostics are free. They gave me a free iPod because I bought one from eBay and it was broken. The warranty was even over. Didn't pay a cent.
