Why won't my iPhone 5 connect to Wi-Fi? - 1
It was working fine like yesterday morning and now it will not connect to my Wi-Fi. I tried resetting my modem and router. I tried resetting my phone. I restored the network settings, It doesn't even show my Wi-Fi on the list of available Wi-Fi's. I know my Internet is working because I can use my Xbox and laptop just fine. Any suggestions? Is something wrong with my phone? Help please this is really wasting my data.
Added (1). Yeah but I don't know how to make it forget the network because it doesn't even show it on the list.
I think you need to find out where thhe problm is coming from first.
1. Go to a friends house and see if you can connect to here Wi-Fi if you can't it is your phone
2. If it is your phone. Try to tell your iphone to FORGET THE NETWORK your trying to connect to.
3. The worst case just factory reset your phone and back up your photos and ect…
You indicated that you reset you phone. When you did this, did you make sure that you remembered to check to be sure that the Wi-Fi functionality is "on"?
Some smart phones, when you reset them, will turn this feature "off", and make the use of Wi-Fi, unavailable, until you turn it back on again, manually. You also did not indicate if you can see other networks on your Iphone, after you reset it, which is the other reason for asking the question.
