Why won't my Wi-Fi show up on my laptop?
Alright, so my Wi-Fi was working fine until I arrived home yesterday after being gone for a day. My family insists that they didn't do anything, although my brother's laptop can't find our network either. When I plug into the router via an Ethernet cable, the internet is lightning fast, but the internet doesn't even appear on my list of available networks otherwise. My computer is able to connect to other networks just fine, and my iPhone is still able to connect to our home network.
We have a WNDR3400 Netgear router, and I'm not sure what is going on. I've tried all of the basic "Why don't you try turning off your router and unplugging everything, then waiting" stuff. It just seems odd that I can still connect on my phone, but not on my laptop. Oh, I'm using a dell xps laptop, if that's important.
Added (1). Yeah, I tried resetting it and still, the netgear network didn't show up. Also, the SSID is set to broadcast… What throws me about it all is the fact that my phone is able to connect to and use the Wi-Fi. Wouldn't that mean that the network is up?
Added (2). Again, I've already tried all of the basic resetting the router, turning it off and on, making sure that the computer is turned on jazz. I've also made sure that my router is actually a real router, and not just a cardboard cutout that was put there by nargles.
If you tried resetting the router to defaults and don't see a "Netgear" available on your wireless networks, it could be bad.
Make sure the wireless switch near the Ethernet ports is on.
You can log into the router via ethernet and be sure it's enabled and someone didn't set it to not broadcast the SSID.
Make sure your Wi-Fi switch is on. If it is, then unplug
the router for 15 to 20 seconds, then plug it back in
and wait a minute or so for it to reset it's self.
- Won't why my app show up on my homescreen? I just bought the iPhone 4, and have downloaded the facebook app. I can access it and all it's facilities, but it won't show up on my homescreen with the rest of my icons, any help would be appreciated:}
- Why won't the facebook icon on my iphone show up? I downloaded facebook on my iphone 4s, it says "installed" and everything, but an app icon never appeared for it. When i go to the app store, next to the facebook app it just says "OPEN" so i can't re-install it and the only place i can access it. Can someone tell me how to make the icon show up please?

I connect my iphone to my windows laptop with a cabel thingy and it shows up that its charging on my iphone but it doesn't give me any options to transfer media etc. Also when i go on 'computer' it doesn't show up even though it should because its connected?
- Why won't my iphone show up on itunes? I have the old ITunes, I haven't had a chance to update yet. I just downloaded some songs and want to put them onto my iPhone 5. I have never had this problem before, but my iPhone is plugged in and shows up on my documents on the computer, but I can't get it to come up on iTunes? Any Ideas?
