Will an imported iPhone work in India?
I have been thinking of buying an Apple iPhone 5S. But it is too costly in India. It is very cheap in the US. I have a relative living in Canada. If we sends me an iPhone from Canada or the US, will it work here. Someone told about 'jailbreak'. What is 'jailbreak'? And also, if I get an imported iPhone, will its warranty work here and will it be repaired in customer care centers in India? Please also share your past experiences if you have done something like this. It will help a lot.

Because I imported a samsung galaxy s 4g and it worked well.
I don't think that its warranty will be here and jailbreak is same like rooting an android
Yes it could work, assuming that you bought the unlocked one (the one without a package with the service provider).
jail breaking is similar to rooting in android systems, don't do it, it will reduce batterylife, and will void the warranty
